The SA-20M Auxanometer is a draw thread displacement transducer. Installation simply involves bolting down the housing and then attaching the draw thread to the part, which is to be measured. The output of the SA-20 Auxanometer is proportional to the amount of thread pulled out of the unit. The thread is a plastic stretch-resistant cord and is tensioned by an internal spring pack giving the unit, amongst others, the ability to adjust the tension. The output of the SA-20 Auxanometer is Voltage.
The output cable length should be specified in the order if required.
Measurement (draw thread) range | 0 to 2 m |
Resolution | 2 mm |
A thread is ended with a ring for connecting an extension wire (thread, cord, clip) provided by a user.
Output | |
Standard | 0 to 2 VDC, linear |
Optional | 4 to 20 mA |
Supply voltage | 5.5 to 16 VDC |
Supply current | 18.5 mA max |
Excitation time | 5 s max |
The mechanical analog display, located on the front panel, allows estimating approximately a current readout of the unit.
The tension of the thread has two switchable levels, equivalent to 30 g and 50 g counterweight, approximately.
A thread outlet is located at the bottom panel of the housing. A guide wheel and a lug provide the upward thread direction.
Mounted on a trunk or other base with the use of two screws or bandings (not included into delivery set). |
